Hello beauties! We hope you’re doing well in school and enjoying the fresh fall weather. Halloween is just around the corner, and before you know it, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving! In the fall and the winter most people are less likely to get enough vitamin D. This is because we spend less time outside in the sunlight.
I bet you didn’t know that high levels of vitamin D are linked to lower rates of cancer. We get most of our vitamin D from food and sunlight. Did you know that you can also get vitamin D from tanning beds? Now you have even more reasons to keep up your regular tanning routine at Tropical Tan! Scientists aren’t quite sure yet how vitamin D fights cancer, but they think it has something to do with its affect on cellular life cycles. Vitamin D has been shown to slow down the growth of cells that could become cancerous, and it may also encourage cells to differentiate and develop in ways that are not conducive to cancerous growths. The benefits of vitamin D are magnified in people who have healthy lifestyle habits, like eating well and exercising regularly.
This is on our minds because we are currently working with Hope4You to raise money to help fight breast cancer. If you donate $2 to the cause, we’ll give you a 10% discount. For $3 you’ll get 15% off, $4 gets you 20% off, and you can get a 25% discount for just $5. We’re happy to offer a huge 30% discount to everyone who donates $10. Every little bit helps, and we expect our Give Breast Cancer the Boot campaign to be our most successful charity drive yet.
Ae’re putting the word out that we have new hours of operation. You can come donate to cancer research and enjoy your own cancer-fighting tanning session during the following times:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.
- Saturday: 9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
- Sunday: 11:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Don’t let your tan fade just because the weather’s getting cooler! Tropical Tan helps you stay golden and glowy all year round.
And don’t forget about our boutique clothing collection. We have some adorable fall items.
God bless and make it a great day!
