As a midwinter gift to our loyal customers, we’ve recently introduced the VersaSpa Pro to our lineup of cutting-edge tanning equipment. Since Tropical Tan’s opening three decades ago, we’ve amassed a collection of 30 tanning beds, as well as top-of-the-line spray tanning booths. In the fall and the winter most people are less likely to get enough vitamin D. This is because we spend less time outside in the sunlight.
I bet you didn’t know that high levels of vitamin D are linked to lower rates of cancer. We get most of our vitamin D from food and sunlight. Did you know that you can also get vitamin D from tanning beds? Now you have even more reasons to keep up your regular tanning routine at Tropical Tan! Scientists aren’t quite sure yet how vitamin D fights cancer, but they think it has something to do with its affect on cellular life cycles. Vitamin D has been shown to slow down the growth of cells that could become cancerous, and it may also encourage cells to differentiate and develop in ways that are not conducive to cancerous growths.
